EARLY CHILDHOOD TEACHER TRAINING COURSES:

Shalom Technical College is accredited by the Quality Council for Trades and
Occupations (QCTO) accreditation number: SPD/1220/17/032, to offer the
Occupational Qualification in EARLY CHILDHOOD DEVELOPMENT (ECD).

At SHALOM TECHNICAL COLLEGE we provide quality and specialised
training courses designed to equip trainees with the knowledge and skills to
become effective facilitators in the classroom and also provide the needed
stimulation and learning appropriate to children’s developmental needs,
including children with a disability, chronic illness and other special needs.
As an Early Childhood Educator, you hold the key to inspiring young minds
and preparing them for life. Teachers with specialised training in child
development are able to create a warm and conducive learning
environment to develop children’s social and emotional competencies and
nurture their love for learning.

This qualification also provides a basis for further professional development in the
education and training band for many experienced practitioners in the field who have
had limited or difficult access to further career development opportunities.
This course is carefully designed to provide a deeper and more complex
understanding of the knowledge, skills, and values required to be an effective Early
Childhood Development (ECD) practitioner. ECD is one of the most necessary and
rewarding career fields available in education today and we have designed this
course to be informative, fun and practical, to ensure that you become an active
ECD Practitioner. So take on a profession that allows you to mould and shape
children to becoming bright, responsible and empowered individuals.
