EARLY CHILDHOOD TEACHER TRAINING COURSES:
Shalom Technical College is accredited by the Quality Council for Trades and
Occupations (QCTO) accreditation number: SPD/1220/17/032, to offer the
Occupational Qualification in EARLY CHILDHOOD DEVELOPMENT (ECD).
At SHALOM TECHNICAL COLLEGE we provide quality and specialised

become effective facilitators in the classroom and also provide the needed
stimulation and learning appropriate to children’s developmental needs,

EARLY CHILDHOOD DEVELOPMENT (ECD) is an entry-level Qualification for
those who want to enter the field of Education, Training and Development. This
qualification is aimed at people who are already practising within the field without
formal recognition as well as for those who wish to enter the field. The qualification
enables learners to prepare themselves for the competitive edge they need in order
to excel in early childhood development; providing stimulation and learning
appropriate to children’s developmental needs, including children with a disability,
chronic illness and other special needs.
